Hello I'm Craig from County Durham. I recently bought my first ever fiat after my vectra passed away ?. It wasn't my intention to buy one but I had an hour to get to work and it was the closest and cheapest car on auto trader but I have fallen for it. It is a 2002 punto 1.2 8v and I payed £600 for it and it had 92k on the clock but was in need of some attention so I have just had all the gaskets changed new cat and manifold brakes all round and wheel cylinders and a fresh change of oil. It came with some nice 15" 5 spoke wolf race alloys on but I'm now sourcing some tasty 16's for it. Mod wise I have smoothed the doors and debadged the boot but the previous owner had smoothed the doors and instead of taking time to remove adhesive he had painted over it and done a terrible job so in the next few weeks I will be repainting the bodge job he did and the rear bumper was a gold one that someone sprayed silver so I shall get a new one painted up so it doesn't look dirty all the time. It has a peco back box which I fitted as the previous owner had hacked the standard box to bits and put one of those awful clip on jobs on lol. I am starting on the interior this week with all the door cards being reupholstered in black suede and re spraying the dash gloss black so it's ready for the alpha 147 seats to go in.
I've had some silly cars over the years but now the kids are getting older and my cars are getting smaller and less costly to run I will be sticking with this little gem. Couple of camera phone pics I'll get some with my dslr once I've neatened the bodywork up.
