Thought I might just say hello to everyone.
Have a Mk2 Punto 1.2 Mia with a blown head Gasket. (oops).
Not the best way to start eh? Hahaha.
Anyway. Head is off and ready for the rebuild.

Find out why hg went
Was stat lazy?
Temp sebsor faulty?
Coolant leak?
Not bled coolant?

Otherwise youll be doing it again soon

Badly fitted gaskets, VERY dirty oil and being driven hard!
New gaskets,new oil filter,new thermostat,new temp sensor fitted.
Engine flushed and fresh 50/50 mix of coolant added.
Will try and keep you posted as to how things go.
Oh yeah! And New OIL! haha

All Done! Yippeeeeee!
It would seem, the previous owner, didn't bother with Anti-Freeze at all!
Hadn't changed the oil for over 2 years either!
All done and back on the road now.
Had one slight problem on Wednesday though. Crank Sensor!
Bought new one, fitted it but, had to wiggle the ECU connector blocks on the back of the Throttle housing before the car would start.
Fortunately, I had the RAC man there to run a diagnostic check on everything when I'd finished so, everything was reset.:slayer::slayer::slayer:
