Hi everyone,

I have only just joined the site although I have been lurking for a few weeks. I have never owned a Fiat in my life, although I have wanted a classic Panda 4x4 for as long as I can remember. After years of longing for one I am now fortunately in the position where I am able to get one as a second car to use for fun, so have begun my search for a tidy(ish) example.

I will be searching eBay and the classifieds sites daily, but if anyone on the forum is selling - or knows ofanyone who may be selling - a classic Panda 4x4 in the not-so-distant future then please let me know as I would be very interested. I am based in Kent, but am willing to travel for the right car. I don't mind if it's a little bit tatty as I intend to have it as a bit of a rolling project to begin with, however some MOT remaining would be preferable as that will make it much easier to get home.
I look forward to chatting with some of the other Panda nuts in due course.

Welcome,
@abarth stabler 's nice looking 4x4 was advertised some time ago. Long way up but definately worth it. Drop him message to find out details.

Ps. stick up "wanted add" at the right hand side at the main page.

Thanks for the helpful reply. I've messaged abarth stabler and posted a wanted add as suggested. Thamks again

Just to give us better view of what you're looking for. What sort of money you want to spend on it? £1.2k -£1.5k?

I'm looking for anything sub £1,500. Towards the higher end I expect it to be reasonably tidy with a few issues.

Very cheap usually means very rusty and I'm not looking for something that requires too much welding at the moment.

Do you think this is reasonable? Or am I pushing it a bit?

Decent 4x4 (not sisley) should be available in this price mark.

I would think that's possible :)

Really?

I think you need to look again at none sisley 4x4 prices - especially if you want an MOT!

I'd be very careful, people have been caught out on this sight with "tidy" cars.

Buyer Beware!

Not sure what you mean? Are you saying you can't get a decent 4x4 (not necessarily a Sisley) for £1500? And my Sisley has an MOT now :)

And yeah, everyone should be very careful about buying a car, you can't ask too many questions, request too many photos/inspect too thoroughly

 :p

But you had to do lots of work to the sisley to get the MOT!

In fact forget everything I said, I know nothing - LVJ had an MOT on it when it was bought out of a scrap yard - but I knew it would be a real project.
Photo's are very deceiving - Panda's are very photogenic, go and see it, travel, drive it, and if you are anything like me buy it anyway!

Rule of thumb is every third car will be a good one!:p

Very true, and I spent a bit more than £1500 to get it an MOT :ROFLMAO:

I wasnt being argumentative, honestly, I just figured that one would be able to buy a decent 4x4 for around £1500 and wanted to know if I was being crazy or not :ROFLMAO:

Photos can be deceiving yeah, too true. Always view a car personally if you can. Or if you are like me, just get photos and get it transported up from London anyway

This looks like exactly what your are after

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-Panda-4x4-1988-Classic-/151695946480

Let use this as bench mark for decent 4x4 )non sisley ride. Nice example with extra bits and double sun roof.

PS. looks like that n/s sill is hiding some secrets inside ( full inner sill inspection required)

That looks fantastic tbh, its got the bullbars and the light guards. Twin sunny too :worship: I could see it going for quite a bit tbh.
