I am the happy owner of a very recently acquired 2002 Sei S in light blue.

Originally we were looking for a Micra to use as a daily runabout to keep the miles off our 3 litre Merc, but this one came up only a mile from home. I must say I have immediately fallen in love with it and we are now thinking we may buy a Sei Sporting in either the Schumacer or Abarth version. Especially as we have always wanted a bright yellow car and always end up with a silver one.

I know they have their foibles. Indeed since Monday the exhaust has fallen off and I have discovered a leaking inner CV gaiter, but I consider those almost a service item on an old car.

This site looks like it will prove invaluable to help mantain whichever Sei we end up with as well as providing a social scene too.

Hi, and welcome, :)

correct attitude there, ;) the little fiat's are actually pretty well made, but are such cheap used purchases - tend to be run on a shoestring..,

there are quite a few FF regulars near you too,

do you have a bike licence( your user name..??)

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for the welcome.

Indeed I am an ex biker. Myriad selection of bikes but the SV650 was a peach. We ended our riding days (eyesight issue) on a Duke 996. That was yellow :). So to fill the void we bought an MR2 Roadster and then a couple of Mercs.

We both enjoy the social side of sites like this although we won't be doing the Brooklands event but hopefully a meet a bit closer will tempt us out.

Gotta love the little fiats there cheeky and fun ..The exhaust was always the common fault at the back box ..Most of mine done it

I know you're going to love it.

we have arguements all the time at home about not taking the Doblo or a van - the Seicento always wins

I've rallied Mini's and Escorts, done all types of competition in all types of car and have been lucky enough to have driven just about everything I've ever wanted to, but nothing tops my Seicento for sheer fun.

Stick a set of Yokohamas on it and enjoy absolutely destroying big Mercs and BMW's on roundabouts

And yes Yellow is best (IMHO!):D

Thanks for the welcome (y)

Well, we got lucky. I spotted a Schumacher lanquishing in the drive of a house as I came home from work. Short story: Bought car for £325 with no MOT. Failed MOT on split trackrod end rubber. 2 new trackrod ends and it passed with no advisories.Total cost £502. Car has done less than 40k miles allegedly. It's not perfect bodily but it's YELLOW! :)

MG, we're lucky enough to own a fairly big Merc too. Certainly beats that for 'nippiness' :)
