Hi guys, Fiorino Newbie here.
I have recently acquired a 2009 Fiorino in blue. Have a few things planned for it but first up is installing a double din from previous car and upgrading the door speakers.
Having removed the original stereo, it looks like I will have to cut away parts of the mounts used in the original unit. I will take some pics and post progress.

Hi Luigi,

Removal of the stereo was straightforward so hoping the installation of the new one will just as easy :)
Lots of useful information on here to keep me busy reading through for a while.

It's a no-brainer getting the hu out.
I'm going down the pc route, ive got a 9'' Toshiba touch screen tablet on windows 8.1 that should fit in a double din fascia.
There loads of scope in using these for all media applications, and a removable hard drive [1tb max for this one] for easy transfer of music.
I also have a chinese unbranded 9'' tablet with gps as well which is running windows rt

Hi guys,
update on the double din install...

I have managed to get the double din to fit nicely in place of the single din after cutting away quite a bit of the inside of the dash, as expected. I have connected a wire to the cig lighter and have run it up to the acc lead on the back of the head unit.

This is where i encountered a problem. The head unit wont power up. I have checked the cig lighter and that works fine. The other wires (to my limited knowledge) are wired up correctly so obviously there is a problem somewhere.

The head unit was taken out of my other car and worked perfectly, could it be that there isnt enough power to turn on the double din?

Is there anything else that could be causing this or should I just check the wiring again?

It is a 59 plate if that helps.

Thanks Charlie,

Yes, its a civic and has canbus, but there was a connects2 kit with it so fitted straight in.

Will take a look at those guides, thank you.

All sorted, thanks for the help guys.
Turns out the scotch lock connection at the cig lighter wasn't tight enough.
Easy fix. Will post pics shortly.

Just posted the pics of the new double din head unit over in the ICE section if anyone is interested.
