Hi all, just joined the forum and hoping someone may be able to help. I have a 3 yr old Fiat that's just passed his MOT with flying colours; but when the garage took him off the ramp they broke him.....there is no power when the throttle is depressed. they have changed the pedal bit no good. I've suggested it has to be the ECU or wifi (as that sends the throttle command) but the Fiat garage simply say - we can't mend it as the diagnostic machine doesn't tell us that the fault is!! (oh for the days of proper mechanics) it's been 5 days now and they are still scratching their head at the garage.......help???
 
I hope at the very least they've given you a courtesy car.

Don't they have others there apart from the grease monkeys. At Ford they have the bog standard mechanics then they have senior technicians or whatever they like to call them, that are highly experienced and skilled mechancics.

Sounds like a bit of fiasco.

throw them the keys and make sure you have a courtesy car. tell them you are not accepting delivery of your car until its fully fixed, and its their problem to fix it.

sorry to hear what happened, please keep us updated as i am very curious as to what exactly the problem is

they told me all their courtesy cars were being used, so i told them they'd best get another as i was coming to collect it - guess what they had a panda ready for me! but i'm missing my 500!
