I have managed to break the black plastic part at the other end from the already broken articulator, how do I get the lock part off the door. I have a replacement complete handle and lock

Thanks, I managed taking the door card off, there is a great PDFs showing how. I also managed to get the lock off, by removing the single star bolt from the inside vertical edge of the door, then I removed the thre other start bolts that held the door closing device.
Carefull when you remove the inside nut from the articulator, if you drop it, I couldn't find it, the bottom of the door has a plastic spacer riveted in place and it's impossible to get a hand in the space.
I protected the outside paint work using electrical tape and worked the locking mechanism out of its hole, and carefully disconnectedthe two connecting rods. I then popped the key lock from the broken lock, by gently removing the black cover, it broke as the plastic is very brittle, and the lock popped out. I then put the key in the lock and pushed it into the replacement lock and it just popped in with the original seal holding it in place.

Then by holding the closing mechanism up it was possible to get the connecting rod which hooked up to the White locator up through the lock hole, and connect it to the lock. Then the lock and handle are gently squeezed back into their hole, and I redid the three star bolts and the single star bolt. It was then necessary to locate the second connecting rod onto the red plastic hole, a bit tricky especially with my big hands, from there you can follow the PDFs on the replacement articulator pdf
