Hi all, just picked up a 57 reg panda 100hp today, 47k miles fsh in very nice condition, was looking at mini coopers and Suzuki swift sports as well, but neither would fit my dog in the boot, or be able to have a towbar fitted, [for my bike trailer [not a caravan lol], drove it 80 miles home and very pleased, reminds me very much of my mini [proper 1970,s one] love the gokart handling, yes it is a bit harsh on the bumps,[but had read up on them first] and I believe you can sort this to a degree with different shocks etc, but apart from a few age related marks and a scuff on one alloy shes in great condition and great fun, cheers for now Hammie

cheers, its a scream, ive just gone from a 260bhp saab aero estate to this, and this is giving me more smiles per mile lol

Welcome along.
Pictures we at least need to know the colour.
I agree this car is more mini than a MINI!
I drove an S and couldn't get used to the odd driving position, while sitting in a kitchen chair was much better LOL.
Plus it's a practical car, not a fashion statement.

Welcome!
What dog do you have that fits in a Panda's boot but not in a Swift's?!
I fold the seats in mine or put him at the front, there is no chance he would fit at the boot!

I was wondering that, it must be a very thin dog..

Its a standard poodle, I wanted something I could get him in with the seats up, I looked at a mini cooper and a Suzuki swift sport, but the gap from the back of the seats to the window, was too small, with the shelf out he just fits in the panda for short journeys, and have the option of being able to do it with the rest of the family if need be, got the car from panda clx who is already on here, so you may be aware of it already, its a met grey one, or code 695 as I have just touched in a few chips with the overpriced touch up stick lol, no major plans for it as its very nice as it is, may get the alloys refurbed later in the year, I checked underneath the rear today after reading about bumpstops etc, both mine are missing, but the rear shocks look like originals, so may change them for a set of the koni str ones, if its likely to iron out a few of the bumps, I also may get custom built exhaust done for it as have a local place that can do one, but just having fun with it as is at the mo, will try and post some pix up if I can figure out how to
cheers hammie

Hi hammie, the STR T's will keep your dog on the floor, they make quite a big difference. The only trouble is..... You then want to do the front!

cheers, will prob end up doing the fronts too, but I can manage to do the rears myself, but would have to take it somewhere for the fronts as do not have the tools, will post a pic of car and mutt in car when im allowed, not had enough posts yet, tried last night but the site wouldn't let me.
cheers hammie

At least with the dog you can't leave your flap up!
57 was a good year for the 100, lots are turning up
