Hi all... I bought my wife a 1990 uno fire 1100. but the engine was using alot of oil. got another engine out it in the car started it no problems. had a leaking water pipe beneath the distributor repaired the pipe and suddenly no spark. Changed the coil and module on the distributor dissasembled distributor cleaned it out and reassembled and still no spark. please can anyone tell me where i can start looking for this spark problem

Is there anyone that can please help me with this. today i cleaned and refitted all earth wiring and still no spark coming from coil. I dont know where to look anymore

hi cross yes i do get power up to the coil whem i switch on the ignition but after that no spark. What are my chances of a faulty distributor?

There are also a switch underneath the driver seat that cuts of power to the motor i disconnected the switch and join the wires together for constant current. Could that also cause a problem or not?

Guys can anyone help me please. Got the uno to start eventually this morning. Heard a noise in the distributor. Removed the distributor had a loose spring. Hooked it back in and reassembled it and now again once again no freakin spark. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

fire prevention switch..,
tank pump should run for @ 5 seconds on ign. ON ( MAR),

Hi charlie. i already have that switch taken out and a solid connection

Just buy a new distributor

Thanks for everybodys input i have the fire up and running again and like always purring like a kitten. My problem was a faulty pick up in the distributor. Bought a new distributor with a new module just to be sure and she started up on the first turn of the key. once again thank you everyone for the help
