think best thing is to get it back home, and see if you have spark and fuel. If it has both then it would start so one or both must not be present... These sensors tell the ecu what the engine position is and so without a signal from them you tend to not get fuel or spark.

So I'm thinking that's probably the issue from what has been described - of course there is other stuff it could be but first thing to do is find out if its spark or fuel or both that its not getting.
 
For ref, the car was sold for scrap for £100. I'm sure it could have been resolved but i need the space for another car, and it was more trouble than it was worth. Speak to Emmanuel at PowerItalia if interested i guess.
