My husband reversed off the curb and heard a clunk under car. As he drove off I saw what looks like a small black drain corner tube on the road. Not sure whether this is from the car or whether it was coincidence that it was on the road!!? Not sure how to download a picture to show but any reassurance or advice much appreciated. Thanks

difficult to tell without a pic..,

either look under car.., for similar colour tube ( and mud..)
or after 5 posts you can post a pic..

If you have aircon, this is likely to be the drain tube for that. He'll need to crawl underneath and pop it back into its hole, near the front of the floorpan, probably near the centre. Will be directly under the heater unit, if he can identify where that is.

If you don't have a trolley jack and stands, or ramps, put two wheel on the kerb edge on one side, to tilt the car. May be enough space to crawl under. Don't work under the car without someone else there, just in case the car slips, or he just gets stuck.

from experience - it's the part / area of the car , under the headlights/ front bumper , that catches on the kerb.. look there 1st
