Hi Guys

Would welcome your input on how best to source a 2nd key (with remote) for a 2005 Stilo. Also need access to relevant codes for radio, engine (?) etc. How can these be cost-effectively sourced?

Cheers

Many thanks - have now contacted Neil @ Sturgess Motors who is on the case. One quick question, how does one ascertain the required radio part no. without having to remove the unit?

You will have to remove the radio to get the numbers from the back and side of it.

If it's the standard Stilo Visteon radio, there are 2 small holes on each side of the front panel. Push 4 pieces of stiff wire (coat hanger) into the holes, then the radio should pull out. You don't need to disconnect the wiring to see the numbers.
.

Much obliged. Yup, it would appear to be the standard fit radio. Finally, what's the best way to go upgrading the radio/CD player to get a more up-to-date MP£3Aux/Bluetooth compatible unit? What are we talking cost wise? Is it just a case of plug and play?

Check the connection on the back of the stereo and if its a standard iso connector (two blocks or one two moulded into one) then its quite straight forward.

Bluetooth MP3 stereo will set you back about 80 to 90quid new, for a decent brand and good sound quality then your looking at double that price.

You will need an adapter plate to convert the slot your stereo will sit into to a single din size... these are about £10 ish at halfords. you will also need a standard iso to fiat stilo wiring harness if the stilo doesnt have a standard iso harness - thats another £15 quid or so.

hope that helps
