My first car was a '93 Tipo, I've had punto and after many many other cars I'm back in a Fiat!! This time it's a black '02 3dr Stilo 1.2 Active with claw 17's a abarth skirts. This complements the Aprilia RSV Mille in the garage very nicely.

The whole family was born and bred in Fiats. I can only shudder thinking about how many of my cousins were conceived in them!! Among all the others, there's a 127 Sport, Tipo Sedicivalvole, X19 and a few clusters of Puntos and Bravos and a bunch of Alfas and Lancias here and there :)

I quite like the Stilo. Mine's a bit of a Frankenstein. My cousin got it cheap with the LHS smashed in and generally looking like a well used motor. Not long after, a timing belt pulley went for a poop and the car was about to be scrapped but a cheap engine presented itself and it was saved. Since I got it I've fixed up all the bodged bits, found the missing bits of trim, had the LHS painted up, refurb'd the wheels and generally done everything I can to make it a snazzy runabout that shouldn't be taken too seriously and 16000 miles later, I still look over my shoulder at it after it's parked up.

That's my schtory anyways :)

Yo. WTF is Yo? You American or something? :D

Welcome though yo. I have the 1.2 also. Great wee car now the niggles are all fixed. So as your car started life as a bit of a run down ****ter did you hand paint it or spend for a pro re spray? Pics. (y)

Now it would look like the Irish use it also. My step daughter has started to use Hey in place of Hello. Watched to many re runs of Friends i think.

No. 'Yo' is Irish for 'greetings'*

I was most definitely a run down sh*tter. It was a 30' car when I got it and now it's a 10' car; that is you no longer have to stand 30' or more away from it for it to look good :D

I regret not taking some before photos because it really is looking well these days :) It will need a bit more spit and polish to get it looking really nice but that'll come once I get it through inspection and the weather picks up a bit more.

*May not actually be true

...and old people who think they are hip...

Bingo.
