Hi all. well I bought a stilo form my wife to run the kids round. its a great car and she loves if. it was a bargin but came with a few minor issues im hopeing people can help with. well here goes


1. boot light on even tho boot is shut.
2. whern driving if im gental it will reach 3 figure speeds but if I just mash pedle to floor it splutters and judders back and forth.
3. when I take a sharpe left a feel a draft (very strange) but never when I turn right.


other than these problems its great. also if there like a fiat show or meeting on some time in the year. it would be good to mingle and find out things to improve the car.

Im new to the fiat forum and reading through to see if I can help anyone. The senor/light switch sensor in your boot may have failed maybe? Does the boot symbol show up on your dash when it is closed?

So, the boot light Is the sensor or a broken wire, its boot panels off unfortinatly.


Holding back, I will put money on its the MAF sensor, disconnect it and see if it runs better, if it does then replace it.


The MAF sensor is on the air intake pipe near the Airbox, on the Engine side of the airbox, it tells the ECU how much air the engine is sucking in and then the ECU adjusts Fueling to give best Eco/Power out put for the driving required. My JTD had a similar issue and with the MAF disconnected it runs brilliant.
