I got me a 2011 evo sporting with mutiair engine. I had it remapped to 162 bhp.a week later and power seems to have faded and even with the asr off its stopping the power getting to the wheels. The car feels very weak and not as quick as when the remap was carried out. Im so pissed with this problem i and seriously considering shifting it on. I do like the car but cant get my head around this problem.....please help

Who remapped the car? It seems risky with fairly new technology like MultiAir IMO and assuming you must have the 135 isn't it only a tiny turbocharger bolted on?
I'm no expert but just my thoughts based on my understanding of these engines.

I also assume but hopefully someone else can clarify that the more powerful variations of the 1.4 will be set up differently i.e. Bigger turbo.

Tell to whoever mapped it flash back the original ecu parameters and next time search for a good and tested solution!

Hello it was remapped by amd tuning. Its almost like the clutch is cutting in when asr is off. When on it just feel slow. Yeah turbo is tiny. Im going back there asap and have spoken to them. Again i am concerned that even flashed back to factory this problem may persist. I dont know if i should get it dynoed first to see if its still making the 162bhp before hand! I also have an induction kit, atuator, springs and intercooler i had hoped to fit but need to get this problem in hand.

Remapping has been around on these engines for a few years now. Am regretting not getting the tmc tuning bow as i could at least take that off!

Heres an update. ..i took it back to amd and it run the same power that it was mapped to on the dyno. Aslo no faults were found. Today i installed a forge induction system and had a custom 2.5in turbo back stainless steel exhaust built and fitted at a cost of 550. Its a 150cell sports cat straight pipe to a free flow rear box with am oval tip. I thought it would be super loud but it not bad at all. I may have the rear box cut off and just have a tip instead. Really thats wot i wanted but the fitters said it would be to loud. Anyways next up will be intercooler atuator and remap. Hopefully it will see 180bhp. Also i fitted the power pedal from tmc. Very disappointed as theres not difference at all. Im sending it back. I think that due to the fact my remap was a live map so throttle was aajusted then rending the tmc box usless.
