Hiya first post on here, can anyone tell me what is the correct mileage on a fiat stylo 1.2 petrol 16v,to change cam belt ,thanks
72K or every 5 years, whichever occurs first.
Does that also apply to the JTD?
Phil
i'd never leave an interference engine that long, 4 years or 40k for petrol 3 years or 36k for diesel and always fit complete kit inc water pump
It says to check belt at 36000/3 years but change it at 72000/5years on this official Fiat bulletin. Has it been superceded? All 16V Fiat petrol engines timing belt interval: 36K (60.000km) OR three years, whatever comes first.
Everything beyond is at your own risk...
Because many belts broke, causing ruined engines, Fiat cut the change interval in halve some time ago (any dealer knows...)

All very well but Conti and Gates don't include the Stilo in their lists, so where can one get the correct information? The only place I've read the intervals have been shortened is on this forum.

Does anyone know a reliable independent garage that could do a timing belt change on a twin cam 1.4 (Stilo active aircon) in the Belfast/North Down area?
