thanks pal,
just drove in the driveway ,home from work and my bloody power steering failed !!!light is on ,steering very heavy .time to find my way around this site a little more!!!!havent missed a day yet! thanks for welcome !

most commonly due to a poor battery , or charging system,( look in 2004 Panda section-as same basic system)

if the battery looks old, just change it,

looks like its seemed to fix itself, happened once again since,will keep eye on it and at least i know where to start now.
starting to notice a sound like 'a cd player trying to play' from steering ! which i swear i would never had noticed without reading such info on this site!
im lead to believe thats a sign of the motor going???not low voltage,kinda ruining me driving experience now hey!!hope im mistaken. just had to replace the centre box yesteday as the muffler fell off on way home!!
does the motor 'wear out' quicker if u leave city light on constantly???
-as in- will i get longer out of motor if i use city light less??
