Greeting Earthlings!

Just joined the forum. Have a 53 plate 3 door Stilo Abarth in gunmetal grey. Love the look of the car, and the first few hundred miles have been pleasurable. The car has only covered 50k miles and is unmolested.

I have a query that I hope somebody will help me with:

is there a thread about wiring up tow bar electrics? I believe that a by pass relay is needed. The tow bar is on the car but it never had the wiring done.

Will post pics asap.

Thanks

Hi, and welcome,:)
FIAT ( manufacturers..)
recommend wiring the HARD way so that the bulb-out panel ( measuring resitance) doesn't throw a fit..,

spent big money doing this on a FIAT with a digital dash.., worked faultlessy, even has a trialer symbol on the dash..!!

but bought identical cars later with "scotchlocks" in the boot, still worked o.k.

the STILO is THE WORST car for electrical gremlins  :p

so personally I would do LOTS of research.., ;)

sure lots of FF members will have done this over the years..,(y)

Thanks for the advice varesecrazy. I would imagine this is why the previous owner who fitted the towbar decided not to finish the job off………..

I will do the research, but I still hope that a Stilo owner can provide me with a fairly foolproof method that wont cost the earth; after all the car didnt!!!
