Hi,I hope someone can help,
When indicating right , only front h/lamp indicator works,rear and mirror repeater does not, also bulb failure indicates on dash with indicator flashing quicker. NB. This is an intermittent Fault
Checked out bulbs and accessible wiring connections all ok.
Autoelectrician checked out with diagnostics , all clear. He suggested the fault was in the van's BCU (body computer)
Ordered new BCU from Fiat dealer which they fitted and coded.
Thought that was the end of it and now and m/home fault gone.
Driving home fault reappeared, Fiat now suggest that they do a full diagnostic test to find fault but with it being intermittent I don't have much hope in them.

Any help or suggestions appreciated,thanks
 
Hi,

I have an update on the R/h indicator fault on my 2007 Ducato motorhome.

After further investigation the intermittent fault seems to be linked to the drivers door,

i.e if fault is "up" (bulb failure indicated on dash)from R/h indicators not working with the door shut.
On opening the door the "system reset" ??? this didn't work every time by the way!

Found the wiring loom from cab to the door chaffing on hole edge on the door under the rubber gator, which was causing a short in the supply to the mirror indicator.

Cured it by applying extra insulation tape to loom and covering with consertina type cable tidy plastic split tubing, much better job!

I hope that's it now and no more pain in the ar-- intermittent fault,which has cost me a lot of money, tried my patience until I've been at my wits end.
If anyone wants to by a BCM unit for a 2007 Ducato in perfect working order give me a shout.

Hi, I may need to order a new BCM unit for my 2007 x250 ducato….do you know the part number ? And price ?
Several weird faults that all point to the BCM
