came up at the right money and was the best compromise between fun and cheap.

A lot of car for the money too

The 500c drives differently, I swear blind that it does, it feels different, I cannot describe it. Maybe it's just me.

The 500C is indeed different, it's heavier than the tin top -- by about 30-40kg, I believe :)

I often look back at my car, when I park it, it's ridiculous but even after 4 years, I still don't get bored of her looks.

Ha, I do this as well. Admiring your 500 never gets old :D

I have to admit its good looks still surprise me. Sometimes I glimpse my car from a new angle and I think to myself, "Damn that's fine!".

*grins* I love it "Damn, that's fine!" I am going to have to start saying that out loud !:D :D

Got mine purely because it was cheap to run and a proven 1.2l motor I can rely on. I do long trips and it does fine with amazing economy.

Fun to drive and just love to drive this everywhere I go. Every time i leave my house this car comes with me and stays with me. I rely on it for work and personal use. I respect it and of course love it's looks.

Without it, I'm nothing. Haha

This is coming from a guy who also have a modified twin turbo weekend car. lol

If it goes everywhere with you do you tow it at weekends

I was having an 'anti flash car' moment coz I couldn't afford to run my 135i due to becoming self employed. My wife had recently got a 500 and I used it a fair bit for work and suddenly realised that I survived a 500 mile day in a 'shopping' car lol.
I loved the retro look and the twinair engine really appealed to me.
I've always enjoyed tinkering with cars and the 500 is so simple I can do stuff on it myself.
That's about it really, I found a pre reg 500 Twinair with £3k off list and here we are 3yrs later : )
