Just thought I'd better join so I can chip in with tips and advice from my experiences, as I have found this forum very helpful in the past.
The beast is a 2003 1.9 JTD, complete with usual 110,000 mile performance issues, and an alarm system with a mind of its own!
Originally thought the Multipla was ridiculous, until I borrowed a 2001 petrol version and liked everything about it - except the fuel consumption. Subsequently bought the JTD, which fixes that problem, returning around 10 miles per litre (45 MPG) although the trip computer underestimates this!
So there you have it - from a devout VW person with a convertable Karmann Ghia, to a Fiat Multipla Daddywagon owner. How the mighty have fallen!

howdy doody dude , i've just got back on this site myself and totally agree with you on the mpg of the petrol , i had one and it seemed as though i spent more time filling it up than driving but then i got a diesel and i love them to bits , there's no other car for me
