Hello!


Ok, I finally bought my first X19 a couple of weeks ago. It was kind of an impulse buy, insomuch as I was looking for a next project as my current (Lexus V8 powered TR7 FHC) nears completion.


The X19 looks to be in nice condition (as X19's go) with very little rust visible, even after poking around some. Though time will tell, the TR looked similar condition wise but I ended up replacing the floors a nearly the complete rear end!

"Tip" and "Iceberg" spring to mind when I think of the X1/9 these days.

Will the Lexus be running a manual Supra box, are you keeping the stock automatic or upgrading to a cvt from a lazyboy Supra? Criminally under rated engine and very capable.

On another forum there a twin turbo Lexus V8 in the front of a T Bucket that's causing a few ruffled feathers.

R154 box, stock motor other than ITB's, exhaust manifolds and ecu.


Thinking similar "improvements" to the X19, maybe using a Honda K2 setup, but a lot of research to do yet!

Sharp looking car, by the looks of the TR7 it'll will be interesting to see where you go with it.

I've just finished fitting a sohc 1600 injection 'lampredi' engine from a Tipo/Tempra in my X1/9, the 'reserved' engine transplant for a daily driver.
