My name is Colin, I live in Staffordshire and after owning 3 Fiat's in the past ( Bravo, Panda and MK1 Punto) I have decided to buy a Punto Cabriolet 1.2 but I cannot find the right one, so I figure the Fiat Forum is the ideal place to look, and get help and advice. I will post a wanted add ( as soon as I figure out how ) in the meantime "HELLO ALL".

Hi Colin and welcome I bought a 'M' cabrio recently and it is currently having an engine and gearbox transplant ! Luckily I scourced these items from a really friendly and knowledgable chap off the forum, from my very early experience the 1.6 early models are pretty rare and as such replacement parts mechanically wise are becoming the same. The later 1.2 engines etc seem to be much more common and therefore may be better in the long run ? Whichever you choose this is a car you will fall in love with and want to keep on the road for as long as possible ! Interior more luxuriant on 1.6 mind, some leather out there too. Since I got mine I haven't seen another on the road too. Getting a real kick and sense of 'beating the system ' driving around in such a rare but still stylish car in these days of 'white goods on wheels ' be prepared to spend a bit of money and look around a bit for spared just in case you need them !
