Hi to All you Fiat fans.
I,m Paul from the Wirral, have a Fiat Brava 100bhp, can anyone help the third brake light is not working, enough to pass the MOT, have removed the plastic strip with the bulbs fitted to it, tried a couple of new bulbs still does not work, do you have to fit all 10 bulbs or is there another fix, cheers

Hi Thanks for the reply. I did have two working, but there are none now as they have been taken out. thanks

Check the plug that goes onto the light for loose/broken wires and corrosion if thats all good then check for contact points on the edge of the tailgate for when the tailgate is down it completes the circuit

The bulbs are 12v and they are parellel just pressed against the metal strip "non replacable" way as the welded plastic keeps the contacts tight.

I fitted mine with leds replacing the metal strip with small wires. Hotglued all together so water does not get in (old bulbs were still good, the wires just corroded off where the glass part ended).

Hi Thanks for your help, I have tried all the ideas, but still not working, I think I will have to replace the unit complete, main dealer wants £70 but I have found at Partsworld uk complete replacement for £36 including p/p not to bad, looks like I'll have to go with that. Thanks again
