Hi
I brought a 59 plate fiat today and would like to replace the chrome on my back bumper and either side of the registration plate. I have read some are stickers and some pop out and can be replaced. I'd rather not take a screw driver to them to find out. Can you tell from the pictures attached, year or model?
Many thanks!
Becki

I'm struggling to wonder what has happened to the chrome pack on a 59 plate car, I can't really tell from the photo's, but I believe this is what you need, you are though clearly responsible for checking all part numbers. Seek advice from a Fiat dealer if you are unsure:

Or if you want genuine Fiat:

That looks from the photos to be a standard 500 Lounge, which should have the clip-in type of chrome inserts - NOT the stick-on ones like frupi has linked to in the second part of his post.

I'm guessing you want to replace them because they've been scuffed or damaged. The cheapest place to get genuine original parts is probably Shop4Parts; you need this, this and this.

You can double check the way they're fitted by looking underneath the rear bumper (you can't really see much at the front). I'd expect you'll need to take the bumpers off to swap out the hook-in type.

I can't get over the difference in prices between genuine and aftermarket, though it shouldn't really surprise me to be honest.

You can pretty much guarantee, that the independent trade probably use the non genuine stuff when repairing accident damaged vehicles for instance.

If it were me, I'd be buying the non genuine stuff for a vehicle over 3 years old.
