Good morning all!

Just got a 1.4 T Bravo in gorgeous Maserati blue making it a slight change from my disastrously unreliable grey Saab 9 3 diesel (non DPF I may add!) that I once owned hoping for far better luck this time around!
Regards,Ben.

Wish our was maserati blue but we couldn't find an example with all the toys we wanted in a good enough condition when we brought our bravo!

Me too. I wanted the techno grey or the Maserati blue In dynamic spec with the t-jet 150 engine. Ended up getting the grey dynamic t-jet 120 but recent remaps etc have pushed me to a quicker 0-60 time than the 150 t-jet so I get the best of everything now. Just get that little feeling of sadness when I see a Maserati blue though. Gorgeous colour.

It s a 150T Matt and thanks for the warm welcome everyone!Only thing I plan to do to her besides regular servicing and a cambelt/water pump change is get rid of the standard backbox for a stainless cat back system in the non to distant future.Previous owner only just got her through the M.O.T with corrosion to the backbox and i m led to believe it s a main dealer only part with the 150T' s.Thinking it shall be cheaper or more long term cost effective to spend 250-300 pounds on a cat back stainless system if anyone can recommend a company near or in North Shropshire it would be greatly appreciated.Ben.

Sounds like a wise move, pictures are a must afterwards :)

There are plenty of longlife exhaust centres around or you could go for ragazzon pre fabricated type.

Thanks for that appreciated. Will definately go custom.Demon tweeks who are powerflow did a decent job of a previous car.Just hope they ve got abit cheaper than 400 quid with the economic downturn 350 would be my maximum budget.

You need a sports cat too ;-) as the cat is the restrictive part of the system if you decide to tune the car. Some specialist tuners will do modify the existing cat.

Not fussed about going mental on the tuning side of things you never see it back when it comes to re sale plus I have a home that likes to eat up money haha!Just want it to look+sound pretty stock so just a stainless version simular to factory cat back will do the trick after i ve had the belt+water pump done on tuesday will be just regular servicing and maintainance then I hope.

Kwik Fit priced me a middle section and rear silencer without issue so I don't think its main dealer only. I too have a Mas blue tjet. Lovely aren't they :)

Oh right. Can t find the rear silencer for love or money on Ebay,GSF,Euro Parts etc. The one with twin pipes? If so how much was it for the rear silencer plus how long ago was this Insomnia?Yeah i m made up with the colour+car so far :)

Yup mine has twin outlet pipes. Was quoted 'in the region of £180'. I was just enquiring for the whole lot so they didn't break it down.

I would check your middle section because if your back box is showing signs of rust then I expect your middle section will too in places (ie on the hangers).
