Hi,
Just joined to the forum, saying hi, again.

A "little" introduction;

My first 3 cars were fiats in the first half of 90s (regata, tipo),
than I moved on to bmw's in late 90s (e30, e36),
on early 2000s I tried pug 306gti and after that, mitsu evo 8,
after 2005 I was lucky (lets say working 18hrs a day as 3D modeler, animator) to up the ante and have more than 1 car, one daily and one weekend toy.
For daily I prefer audi RS models, for weekend I alternated between highend german and italian cars (surely, prefer the Cavallino Rampante).

In the beginning of 2010s I wanted to start collecting cars instead of buying new ones and selling them, almost without even driving, (still same working hours but its at least for my own now) with all the depreciation.

As I am a little OSD, its a lengty process to find cars to my liking, they must be as close to the original state as they left the factory, or should be restored (by my mechanics) with all the original parts, you know the drill.

So in 3 years I was able to get a 84 chevy silverado (less than 20k mls from new, 1 owner), copletly original no restoration needed.
92 lancia delta evo 2, under restoration, man those integrale parts became rare/expensive in the last few years, but I guess its a good sign.
lastly, a "farm" find (bologna/italy) 64 500 D with less than 12k mls, 1 owner.

Long story short ;), I will need information about my most prized (for me) purchase, and info to restore/parts (has some paint chips, and surely mechanical parts/hoses etc needs to be checked/replaced).

That's it for now, if you have come this far, congratulations and thank you :)

talk to you all later..
cheers..

Hi Motoharu

Lots of experts here, have helped me out no end. I have a 1966 500-F I'm working on.

What part of the world are you in?

Cheers

Tim

Hi Tim,

I'm in istanbul.

The first thing I have to decide is whether to repaint (sandblast etc..)
I want to keep it on its original state but the paint cracks are putting me off, and if I choose to get it repainted I know I'll want to do a complete restoration, as is the logical thing to do, but than it will loose its originality, even if the replaced parts will all be original items..

That is a hard decision for me..

Hi Motoharu,

i am near the end of restoring my 500 and I think I have a similar feeling about originality. i have had to rebuild and respray the bodywork and dismantle everything but have put back almost everything exactly as it was after a clean and overhaul. The car is going to look, smell and feel original; so it can be done.

Good luck..pics please.

Hi fiat500,

exactly what I was thinking, we will see what will happen, but first the integrale should finish, in the meantime maybe I can start dismantling some parts to be re-chromed, cleaned, painted etc..

The car will start its journey from italy this weekend (bought it in april, beaurocracy...), but here are a few pictures that I took while I was in italy..

ps: any idea what the color code is, no info on the vin plate.
My guesses are; verde chiaro, but which one: 263, 363-363-372, as the car is 64 I'm thinking 263 the others are before 64.
