I have just returned from the first road trip in my new, to me, 2006 Grande Punto 16v 1.4 three door.
I am absolutely smitten with what is my sixth Fiat (128, 1991 Uno 1400, 124 Special T, 850, mk1 Uno 75 and now the Grande Punto).
I cannot believe how refined, smooth and powerful the punto is when compared to my previous car, a Mercedes A160. The ride isn't quite as smooth, but OMG the handling more than makes up for any deficiencies.
Fuel consumption too is excellent 15.7 km/l on the way out and even better on the way home 314km on half a tank!
I've just bought an original blaupunkt stereo to replace the aftermarket rubbish that had been fitted, just got to figure it out now?
