so i have just joined as I'm changing my car currently have a vauxhall corsa which since I've got it I've had nothing but problems, so I'm deciding to make the switch to a grande punt 1.9 M-jet Sporting now I've found one on ebay which doesn't seem to bad so going to ask you guys what you think.

now ill introduce myself my names Ben and whats convinced me is i actually work with Reuuk's mrs in the god awful job that we do and after her turning up in Reuuk's tango grande its got me hooked on the grande.

now unfortunately its not the carribean orange, its red as my mrs hated the thought of being in something so bright.

i can't post the link due to my post count being 0

so if you guys want to see it... its on ebay for £2395 in red and is in manchester.

U kno corsas n grandes are the same right, n rue is the only person tht hasnt had a problem with hus, mine cost thousands and thousands until i eventually scrapped it, thousands of terror stories on here id seriously avoid

the corsa i had was terrible though im hoping this grande is as it says ive actually sold my corsa today finally got rid of it.

i did used to have a grande active 1.4 which was a great little motor, i was considering a fiesta ST but running costs etc put me off rather have a grande 1.9mjet for the sake of 20Bhp less but with cheaper insurance.

Alit of M-Jet owners have had problems though.

I still log on here to help any owners with advice if I can do, because I had to get mine fixed a lot, and a lot of the time I look on here someone is having some problem with the GP.

In contrast to the forum I'm also on for the car I own now I hardly ever read any faults about them.

BenNWuk hi Ben you work with Carly haha, Mjet220 I'm not being funny but why do you have to slate everybody who has or going to buy a mjet, not everybody has had problems like you did so you don't need to slate them off so much.

Like i sed if people would bloody read not slating not trying to offend anyone simply advising, offering an alternate model over a piece of crap

I'm sure when we both got our M-Jets we were proud of them and liked them, but as the faults kept coming that eroded away until the allure of the nice styling wore off and it became apparent it's a badly built poorly designed car that wasn't backed up by a brilliant drive.

I always remember the engine being so rattily that my keys used to vibrate in the ignition and the steering wheel used to vibrate at a stand still.

@Mjet220 @JimbbobW1977 what car doesn't have problems?

please tell me as I'd love one of those.

its fair enough pointing out some guidelines to advise people, I have no problem with that. just I see every bleeping Mjet thread with your comments saying how much trouble you had with yours, don't put people of their own cars, its not fair on them.

Yes the Mjet has a few problems, so what? theres nothing that can't be fixed in some way or another.

Vibration from the diesel engine should be expected. there tractors.

I don't want to fight

Astrax2 pre2002 clio 2002 c2 vtr 2005 mondeo 2002 zero repairs apart from mondeo flywheel still on my drive 100k owned since 28k

Just my experience though sure others have broken

A few problems i can deal with not weekly issues costing in total 5k

well it all boils down to maintenence.

my corsa was terrible due to the previous owner.

the Mjet ive had since last night is spot on been well looked after.

and i will continue that services every 10k constant checks etc...

if you dont look after your car why should it look after your wallet (y)

It's not a fight! A lot of people do come on here with problems with their cars amongst other things.

My current car does not vibrate at idle and is barely audible and that's a diesel. I've had it over a year now, 27000 miles later no problems at all.

At that mileage on my GP a number of components had been fixed including new turbo, drop links, brake calliper, top mounts.

It's not a dig at other owners at all, it's a fact of what's happened.

What had i done by 27k in my first 4 miles i had done egr, another 10days later was manifold heat exchanger and half of the coolant pipes, 32k was the big one gearbox and fly in about 2-3 months of ownership
