just to say hello folks. just purchased a 500 f off ebay for probably way more than its worth. lhd,non runner and no documents. my wife has called it a chicken shed and me far worse when it arrived on a low loader. I love it . seems to be mostly there... apart from the floor pan of course. any one know who I can contact to authenticate date of manufacture from the chassis no to produce to dvla with the v55, ins, mot. thanks for any responses on this and sorry if this is a faq. still a forum apprentice

Hi Pete

Welcome and don't worry what she says now, I and many others have no doubt been where you are now. You should have heard the change in comments though when I finished my 500L. I bought it for her to be fair and she loves it now. Mind you, she didn't see all the invoices over the years that it took to sort everything out. SShhh.

Here's a list of chassis numbers tat might help work out your car

Cheers
Hugh Jarce

Welcome Pete,
We all like a project to tinker with, and these are fun little cars that will at least bring a smile to your face & everyone elses when it is completed.

where are you located?
Please load some photos, hopefully it will make me feel better about my own project.

thanks for the welcome and those chassis nos.. that makes it a 67 F. I am just up the road from axminster . I have just read the franko thread and I am very very impressed ! love it and want to start on mine. have taken a few pics so how do I upload them to provide some entertainment for you all

Hi Pete

Click on the New Reply button on the far left of the last reply. Put some text in (like this) and scroll down to the box that says Attach Files. Click the Manage Attachments button. You'll get a pop up window with several Choose File buttons. Click the first one and it should allow you to browse to your images on your PC (or Mac).

Select and repeat if there are others (keep it to 5 max, I've found it doesn't like you doing 5 then going back and adding more – best to do a second post if you've got more). I've found it's best if they are .jpgs and not too large. Once you've done, click Upload and they should appear as a list of attachments. Click Submit Reply.

Probably there are other ways too, but that works for me.
Looking forward to seeing your project.
Tim
