Hey everyone, I am a new fiat owner. Bought my car second hand. Everything has been great, except this loud clunking noise in the back when I go over small bumps in the road. Usually fine over bigger things like speed bumps. Its always there and never gets worse or better. I thought it could be the droplinks from what I read on the forum, but there are no droplinks in the back of a stilo. I have taken it to a mechanic and they checked it out and could find no problem. They said the shock mountings just needed some oil, which didn't seem to help... Any help would be appreciated?

sounds like your rear bushes needs to be replaced, I had bad clunking noise coming from the rear of the car and after replacment its all nice and quiet now.

thats not the best way now, i found that if you have the press kit and a handheld hydraulic press you can do the bushes in situ without removing the brake lines, the hardest part was compressing the springs.
I can do the bushes in under 4hrs on the deck out the front of my house.
i will edit up this post when i find the link.

have a read of this thread
