Just saying hi, been lurking a little while before becoming the proud owner of a 2010 100HP in white with the skydome roof. It has the Hi-Fi upgrade which if I understand correctly is due to it being a 2010, it also has the CD changer but in practice is unusable as it constantly skips.. it doesn't seem to have any sort of buffer.

Loving it so far, great fun to drive and no real problems.. need to check the lighter as chargers (phone/gps) seem to fall out while driving.

Also the previous owner put on rubbing/bump strips that I really need to remove at some point.

The only other thing I'm thinking about changing right now is the stereo.. I'm struggling with out the iPod and as I said earlier the CD changer is pants. But I think I need to do a little more research on getting the steering wheel controls working and I guess the options available.

Hi, welcome to the Fiat Forum :)!

You can get an AUX cable for the stock Panda HU, so if you just want to use your iPod that's a much cheaper option than some, probably ugly, after market unit.

Also, the 12v socket is really shallow for some reason. I don't know if it may be possible to fit a deeper socket somehow.

At the moment I've been kind of wedging it in with a little bit of card. I was toying with the idea of trying to crimp it a little bit to make it a snugger fit.

The stereo is still up in the air as it doesn't sound too bad, I think a lot of it would be to add functionality if I do change it. The iPod is the main thing I miss but would like to get hands free setup and if I'm doing that I'd like it to sound a little better. I'm looking at the pioneer DEH-80PRS but need to work out whether it would be overkill or a good place to start should I decide to upgrade the speakers further down the road.

Of course I may just give up and carry on with the OEM Headunit once I work out how much it will cost.

Are the rubbing strips standard oem fiat ones. With no logos. If they are undamaged I'll take tthem off you.

Iirc you've had this car for about 2 month. Purchased a independent dealer. It's also has a boot protector fitted.

Oh welcomes to FF too

I think they probably are I haven't seen any logo's and yes it does have a boot protecter fitted.

It wasn't an independent but wasn't a fiat dealer but it was around 2 months ago.. your not going to tell me anything bad about it are you?

I know nothing about the car other then what you and I have said. I was contemplating going to viw/buy it. Obviously I decided not to. It was not advertised long. Some.sit around for months unsold

It was one of the only ones I saw with the roof and HiFi and seemed in pretty good nick and its been good so far. I wasn't looking for ages so hadn't noticed they sat, just that most of them seem to be older I didn't see too many 2010 plates.

Yeah I really wanted one with a roof too but in the end settled for one without.

I guess there are pros and cons to the roof.

Did you pay close to the asking price. And where are you based now. I will take those rub stripes off ya hands and even help you take them off if you are local ish to me.

Best colour and even more so with the roof. I have the same.

I rather like the rubbing strips on the Dynamic - post a pic of your to see how it looks.

If you do change the stereo, and its really mint, I would be interested as I want one to do a custom can-bus alteration on.. (presumably it is not de-canned as should be original)
Drop me a PM if you decide to change it.. there are better sounding units out there - absolutely- but damn difficult to find one to suit the panda due to the high up in yer face mounting - I would also avoid double din, they just look soooo wrong. It is hard to beat the standard for appearance, easy for sound quality though. The door speakers are pretty crap too.... - but, if you HAVE got the REAL OEM upgrade - (do you have the tweeters or false covers ?) - then you have FAR better door speakers in the front and slightly better in the back. (compared to standard fit original)

I am surprised anyone fitted the changer in such a late car ? - surely fiat did not ? unless they had loads laying about.. they are total pants ! and also ruin a very good storage location :p

Well I'm a little short on photo's I should have took some after I cleaned it. Here's the one I do have although the car is far from clean. And I'm not actually able to post it yet due to my post count.

As far as the radio goes if I do change it I will be keeping the OEM head unit for if I ever sell her, changing for me will because of SQ and functionality but I know there are those that like to keep everything stock so want to keep that option. But your right about the CD Changer I can't believe how bad it is for a 2010 car. If I had paid dealer price for that I would be very upset with the way it skips.

I think I like the rubbing strips (y)...I'm not entirely 100% sure though. I think they look good on the white car, not sure how well they'd suit other colours.

Yeah, I'm still undecided they don't look too out of place but I keep going back to they just don't look right. But every time I think about taking them off I wonder if there will be any damage done while doing it and then start thinking that they are practical in london and they don't look too bad again

All they need is a tiny bit of trim more on the front wing - the abrupt finsih looks wrong. - Only an inch or so - can you post a full side view ?
I think they would look really good. and they are bloody practical !!.(y)
