Hi all,
I'm a Newbie !
I joined the forum to see if I can ask if anyone has had any luck disabling the error lights/messages on the dash?
I have various error messages coming up with no fault underlying the message.
Can anyone advise how to disable the messages? I have a MOT coming up and I think these messages are a fail now.
Messages I get at the moment are brake light fail/pre-heat fault/boot open.
Also, I have fixed the headlights so the adjuster is no longer connected but the motors run constantly, which wire colour do I snip to kill the motors?
Cheers everyone !

So, despite me mentioning 'messages' 6 times you focus on the one mention I made about fault 'lights'. Thank you so much for the help !

Glad you've sorted it but I've seen cars with "bulb out" warning systems warn about bulbs being out when they're not, the resistance mustn't be quite what the body computer is expecting so it throws up a fault until it's replaced. My Rover 75 occasionally did it when it was really really cold outside (minus temperatures) and my dad's Vauxhall did it quite often.

I am so impressed with this little Stilo, it just keeps going ! I have got a worn top mount, squealing alternator bearing and a roaring clutch release bearing. I would get them all sorted but they would cost what the car is worth and I have no spare cash !

I used my OBD cable to read the ECU and it read 163000 miles, the odometer shows 64000 so it's been seriously clocked but I'm not bothered.
Just saying.
