In the process of purchasing my 500L, will post pics once arrived (6-8 weeks)

Will be getting rid of my Grande Punto, the wife loves the City buttong too much to go for a different make of car now lol

Good choice - which version are you getting??

Decided on the 1.4 Pop Star, upgraded to white alloys, decided against the white roof due to costs but will get my father in law to wrap the roof in white

Nice one! I have had my 1.4 Pop Star for approx 4 weeks now and love it. Great car and the engine is surprisingly versatile.

I'm about to join the 'Fiat World', i.e. buying my first Fiat. Does anyone know if there is any problem fitting roof bars on the 500L (MPW) Lounge (i.e. with sunroof)?

That is a good question. I seem to recall you couldn't fit them to the 500 with the glass roof (even though the fixings where there on ours).

Let me have a furtle in the manual and see what it says.

ed the manual says this -

Which by implication to me would say yes you can fit a roof rack, (though that of course refers to the opening roof, I see no reason why it should be different for the fixed glass roof though)

Further ed -

Compatible with both long and short chassis models, and those with a sunroof

You are as they say 'good to go!'

Ok so ordered the car just under 2 weeks ago now and have not heard anything in regards to the confirmation from Vospers that the order has been processed at the factory, how long does this normally take or am I just being too impatient lol

Ours took around 4 weeks from memory - from placing the order to us picking the car up.

I was told 6 - 8 weeks for ordering mine in, but not sure if the guy took into account the time it took for Fiat to receive the order and send confirmation back. Guess I will just have to wait and hope it comes through very soon
