Hi all, just signed up today, I have just bought (well was meant to be getting it this afternoon but dealer now says wont be ready until Saturday Grrrrr!!) A 2010 Campolvo grey Abarth 500, am so excited, loved them for ages and took the plunge as it was time to replace my (well loved and will be missed!) Mazda 3 2.0td Sport, we bought a Citroen DS4 last year so don't need two big(ish) cars so I get to pick something a bit more fun!

Am hoping to join in the fun here and get and maybe give help to and from other members.

I have a Campovolo grey Abarth 500 in transit from the factory! Can't wait. Had a MINI Cooper S for 7 years from new, then a Panda 4x4 for the past year. Panda is going to my parents- much more their sort of thing!Been yearning for some fun again and I think the Abarth will really hit the spot. A lot more exclusive than the MINI and much more of a retro feel than the current MINIs. Hoping to be able to post some photos in a couple of weeks!

Oh I'd love a brand new one, maybe next time! Campo grey is by far my fav colour but you never see many in it, maybe that's good for us! What options have you gone for?
I want black assetto corse stripes (she's naked at the moment!) black door mirror caps and am thinking of getting the rear of the roof vinyl wrapped in black to tie in with the skydome.
Other than that a BMC air filter and a remap should do me, he says now.......


Just not happy that I was meant to get her today but got to wait till Saturday now due to the new gear selector mech (which they knew it needed on Sunday when I drove it and stuck my deposit down) wont be there until tomorrow and they only told me this afternoon after insisting yesterday that it would be ready today, Fiat\Abarth dealers eh!

Good news everybody! (for me anyway) the dealer have called me, the new part is now fitted, she's had a service, road test and valet (those exhaust tipis better be shiny!) and is ready for me to collect tomorrow, good times!!

Well I still don't have my A500, they haven't fixed the gear selector! Seems the part they thought (assumed without actually checking it seems to me) was wrong, wasn't and they didn't find this out until yesterday (Saturday) when I was meant to be picking it up, after it also wasn't fixed on Thursday when it was originally meant to be ready! They promise the new part, which will definitely fix it this time, will be there first thing tomorrow and will only take an hour to fit, they say all the other things that needed sorting are done, they've serviced, mot'd and valeted it already etc so I should be able to collect it after lunch.


TBH if it's still not sorted I might just ask for my deposit back and try and find another one, this is my first ever Italian car and this all smacks of a bad omen!

Hi. Its the basic 500 custom with the standard anthracite wheels and the split rear seat as the only option. I may get side stripes later but my mini had quite a few decals and I'm going for the understated look this time! Feeling the need for a more "mature" look in my early middle age!
