Hi Everyone,
I've just bought a 2011 Doblo MPV with just 22K on the clock which I want to use as a work / family vehicle. It's the Eleganza spec as I wanted aircon for those hot summer months (I wish) and rapid demisting too!
I'm really impressed with the forum as there is a lot of great information to be had and hopefully I can contribute too.
One thing I'd like to know is if it's possible to get longitudinal roof bars as mine isn't fitted with any and the aftermarket ones I've found so far do not have any CE or BS approval.
Many Thanks Phil

Welcome, Interesting you dont have roof bars on your eleganza. Mine is 2011 and the same model as yours, but came with them from new.

I tried to purchase a set from fiat but they wanted £400 so I made do with a set from eBay for under a £100 and they are ok

Thanks Guys,
I've found a decent set of Roof Rails courtesy of BTS Truck & Car on good old E-bay so the Doblo is looking a little more MPV less van now (if that's possible). I have an interesting rattle that occurs over uneven road surfaces and appears to be coming from the rear nearside. Sounds similar to a link arm rattle I used to have on an old Citroen ZX a few years ago.
Are there any known 'characteristics' as it's just covered 22k I wouldn't expect anything to have gone west yet but then I have just come away from a Hyundai Santa Fe which is thirsty but faultless after 10 years & 150k so I'm no stranger to ugly motors!
Any thoughts would be appreciated, Many Thanks.

Rear suspension seems to be problematic. Three of us here have had rear damper problems on cars wilth low mileages. :( Mine has had the top damper mounts changed at the rear but it hasn't completely cured it so it will be going back to the main dealer for another look when I next get a day off work.

Interesting you say that Yobbo I notice the rear suspension on the Doblo uses Link Arms similar to front suspension on Citroen/Peugeot to reduce body roll. When these wear they produce the same rattle I'm hearing from the rear of my Doblo. I'll let you know if this clears the problem. Phil

Hi I have the doblo eleganza, 2010' 30,000 on clock now we are selling it March, it's not got roof bars, but we had to change the rear suspensions and last week the front strut bearing, luckily under warranty just had full service too. I love the car but hubby does not we are changing it for a panda I shall miss it.

Well the problem turned out to be the rear nearside shock absorber. It appears to be a 'characteristic' of the new Doblo suspension set up the shock absorber valves chatter when being compressed/decompressed. Roll on a decent set of Monroe's being available as it appears there are only genuine spares available at the moment.
