Just bought my first ever Fiat. I bought a 2002 Fiat Stilo 1.6 16v 5 door. So far I'm pleased runs like a charm especially for its age. Never even heard of a Stilo before I bought one. Only had it 3 days so hard to make a real judgement.

I have the 3dr version of the 1.6 stilo. It seems to have got negative reviews on the net, but I can't fault it as a used buy. Build quality is good, interior is good, plenty of toys, and plenty of fun on the backroads!

The common fault with the 1.6 lies with the ECU, which can kill itself, although replacements now are not too expensive.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. Only issue I have ATM, is that the front end seems really low so it scraps on speed bumps and curbs, is that common? Or is my suspension too low?

Will post pics in a day or two as it needs a good old clean, pics now wouldnt do it justice.

Springs are probably abit soft, they should clear even the steepest of sleepy policemen but a photo should clear things up

Mine didn't scrape before it was lowered. Perhaps your suspension is soft, or maybe a previous owner has changed the springs for lowered ones?

Just had a lil look and the rubber mud guard that runs along the front bumper, on the nearside is lose and there looks to be something hanging low just behind the nearside front passenger wheel looks like a U shaped pipe, but lighting was poor so couldn't get a good look. I think the scrapeing is coming from the U shaped pipe hitting the speed bump as it passes over.
