Re: New Posts

Is it posible for someone to fiddle with the forum coding so that when you refresh the 'new posts' screen you get all new posts instead of just new replies to old posts a la ipBB? I'd like to leave it on autorefresh like I can on there but it doesn't work

I think that would be great for all threads as well.

Re: New Posts

Auto-refreshing? It's the browser that does it not the forum.

Re: New Posts

Helz, not possible. We've been over this about 13 times since the new software was used.

Re: New Posts

I can't find anything about it, mind you I'm on Safari not internet explorer or netscape navigator.

Re: New Posts

auto refresh = no

i did a thread on why before, it's basically because the page you see is the second page used in new threads.

Page one - gets the latest results and puts them in result id X
Page two (the one you see) loads up results X

So even if you refresh, you still only get results X, rather than a new set.

New version out soon, maybe they will have updated it by then. Though it's actually there to stop people putting the site on auto refresh and thus caining the database connection.
