Hey all,
Just following the "rules":D

So 1st order of business; I just joined so ... Hello to all FF members and thanx for having me.

My area of interest would mostly be centred around the MkIII (2nd Gen) Panda 1.2 and in particular the 4x4.
Picked mine up 2nd-hand around 3 months ago. It's a yellow 2007 Climbing with leather interior and manual a/c. There was 71000km on the odo when I got her but we're now at just over 77000km.

Happy with a whole bunch of things; a little disillusioned about 1 or 2 other things.

1st of - Great car. Love it. Nice and solid and surprisingly good road holding for such a tall car. Very dynamic and entertaining to drive. Also more than a little surprised by the 4x4 ability. Haven't really done hectic stuff yet but the 1 or 2 hills I did tackle went into history without even breaking a sweat.

--- but ...
Look I knew from the research I had done before getting her that it is a "slow" car. But it still is something for me to get used to just how slow exactly.
OK I know 1600+ m asl isn't nice to normally aspirated cars, 'specially small capacity ones, but I keep thinking there might be something out of adjustment.
It doesn't help that my other rides (Alfa GT JTD, a Smart Roadster, and a Buell City X) are ... well more capable.

Anyhoo, maybe this forum can put me on the right track as far as improvements are concerned.

Thanx for the work you put into this forum.

Relax, let the world go by at whatever speed they want and realise at 60 mph you will arrive where you are going very little later than in a "fast" car pushing on.

It's quite liberating. Trying to push the 4x4 also has a negative effect on fuel consumption. 3k rpm/60mph is the sweet spot.
