 Hiya!
I've just bought (almost stole ;) ) A 2002 1600 Stilo Active, I think it must have been an ex demo, as it seems to be fully loaded (but i'm not sure  )
Its a 5 door in Navy Blue, has a sky sunroof (that needs a bit of sorting  ) Alloy wheels, CD tuner, Stilo over mats all round, a few bits n bobs that all may be standard supply but I'm not sure? It had been sitting in a Garden for about 2 years .... sailed through the MOT :) I had to put new wipers all round, a new battery, a rear light cluster (had been smashed .... no damage to the body) The tester said its in very good condition .... underneath its as new .... just a bit of rust to the outer skin of the rear exhaust.
I drove it to work today and I gotta say 'It drives really well' :D very 'Tight' if you know what I mean. Oh Yeah its only done 39,000 miles!
It does have an issue with the Airbag Warning light and it says to Stop the Car, (yes I know its a fail for the MOT but thats one I owe him ;) )
So thats one of the reasons i joined this Forum, I trolled for the info and i'll be having a go at sorting the problem. I'll let you know how I get on!
Thanks to the team who run this Site, looks good to me!

welcome to the club mate, sounds like you got a rare bargain there, well done!!

yes, the airbag warning is very common, but easy to fix, and I suspect youll sort the sunroof out with minimal fuss-it probably just needs a really good clean and grease!!

looking forward to hearing how you get on.(y)

Hi mate, I had same problem with airbag warning! It's normally the sensor underneath the seats! Where they slide back and forth the wires get damaged and break. A bit of solder and heat shrink and all fixed!!

And a third Newbie!
I have bought yesterday in Germany a Multiwagon 1,6L Dynamic , 2003 , with only 73000 Km . Looks realy like new , except a knock on the right mirror:mad: , and all the gadgets seems to work . Next Monday , I drive her from Dusseldorf to Paris , along the little roads through the Ardennes mountains(y)(y) ( I hate the highways !) .
My last car during 5 years was a Lancia Thema V6 , after five other Lancia , a wery expensive joke but I like Italo cars . And i need today something with cargo-capacities .

Hi thanks for some info ......am i right in thinking then that there are sensors under all the seats? (I havnt checked yet) also the warning light could be for any airbag inc. the sides? I think ive seen them in the boot. (Dirty contacts rather than broke maybe)

I'm not sure where all the sensors are but mine was under the passenger seat caused by the seat being pulled back and forth!! They come down off the mountings and the wires get pulled out!!

A quick update ....... Pulled all the sensors for the Airbag warning, cleaned all the contacts (with Electrical cleaner) but it still shows, so at the mo I just hit the menu for now  I think (as been posted) I may solder the wires together to see if it clears!

A quick Q. I read somewhere (I cant remember where) something about ...Turning the Ignition key twice to reset  Has anybody heard this ?

As for the Sunroof problem ..... It was just a case of resetting, via the roof controls! (I bought a C.D. manual off Flea Bay for £2 ;) ) Works well! :D
After 2 weeks of running ..... so far no problems :)

nice work, glad you sorted the sunroof because they are really awesome-I love mine!

As for the airbag connectors. you could try getting some old ones and soldering - I might even have some as the seats I fitted to my car a while back had different connectors so ill check and post a pic-if you want them you can have them. At the end of the day if it doesn't work, you wont be any worse off and its easy with the seat out to have a proper look.

As for the ignition thing, no idea, never heard that and its not in the manual, I doubt its a legit function!
