Panda 2012+ New fiat on order

Hi
Thanks for the welcome

I did a lot of reading before going to the garage and I must admit that I was ready to be disappointed by it in real life as cars never seem to be as good as they say.
How I was wrong.
They had two at the garage. A green one with green interior and Diesel engine. And a white one with silver interior twin air.
I had a good drive in both and they were actual wanting me to buy the demonstrator but in the end decide on my own spec car.
I've gone for
A white twinair
Olive and sand interior
Winter pack
4seat flex pack
Privacy glass
+ getting flaps maps and a few other extras thrown in by garage.
They have said 10 weeks delivery so should get it end of June.
Can't wait.

oh my goodness June!!!!!

I am new here as mine is on order, but i couldn't stand a 10 week wait! mine was supposed to be today but as my sales advisor is on a day off i am hopping to get tomorrow!!!

you must be sooooo excited :)

Dension USB/MP3/Bluetooth adaptor FREE to good home

Hello fellow forum members (especially new Panda 4x4 ones ;)

I am P/X ing my 59 plate Panda 1.2 Eleganza tomorrow when I pick up my 4x4 panda. As a result I've removed the Dension USB/MP3/Bluetooth adaptor I've been using happily.

It's only 6 months old and cost £105

This is a link to a shop selling the same item (hope this is ok to link to them)

http://www.incarhandsfree.co.uk/ipo...text-ipod-usb-aux-adaptor-lancia-gbl3af8-a2dp

I'm posting this here as all you new 4x4 owners and soon to be owners have all been great while I've been waiting (I don't know what I'd have done without you all to chat about the wait, colour, options, etc) and I think I should return the favour to forum members.

So, if you'd like my adaptor for free (no catch, I've just the one) you can have it.

I can only say first come first served, but please only say you want it if you really want it and have a use for it. I could sell, but as I say, it's a thank you from me to to the forum.

Phil

That's really kind of you Phil, I'm sure someone will find a good home for it.

Only the other day homeward gave me some kick plates gratis.
There's some awesome people on this forum. :)

Hi Pilot Ralph,

Great to see another new Panda owner in waiting. The 4x4 and Trekking models really do seem to have hit the spot on here, sounds like a great little car.

Just got to wait until June now for your car!(y)

By the way, I noticed you've ordered the 4-seat Flex Pack. I've had a look on the FIAT UK site just now and it seems like the whole 4-seat/sliding rear seat option has gone missing, which is rather odd.

Anyway, my point regarding the Flex Pack is that it may be worth your while just double checking with your dealer as to what exactly you will be getting and how much they are charging you. I've done the maths again tonight and - based on the FIAT UK website - the Flex Packs still cost you MORE than if you order the items separately!

Two examples from the website are as follows:

Panda 4x4 TA - has the 5-seat Flex Pack for £500. Comes with 60/40 split rear seat (£50 option), cargo box (£50), 3 rear seatbelts (£50), passenger seat folding table (£50), height adjustable drivers seat (£50), smoking kit (£50) and Comfort kit (£100). Total cost = £400.

Panda 1.2 Easy - has the 5-seat Flex Pack for £500. Comes with 60/40 split rear seat (£50 option), cargo box (£50), 3 rear seatbelts (£50), passenger seat folding table (£50), height adjustable drivers seat (£50), smoking kit (£50). Total cost = £300.

So you could save yourself up to an extra £200 just by ordering all of the bits separately!!:D:D

Hi
I did wonder on the cost before unwind the web but when I added it all up in the garage with the current price list it came to the the same price. Possible that the web site has not been updated with the latest prices etc.
however thanks for the warning and Ill give the garage a quick call today to confirm.

Yeah I wouldn't trust the website, that's for sure!:D

Well glad it was of use to you. If I remember correctly I think the 4-seat/sliding seat option on its own is £200, so assuming you get all the other bits thrown in then I can see how it would equal £500. But worth double checking nevertheless, if it turns out you can get a bit extra money off then it's all good.

Still can't get my head around why some of these Packs aren't cheaper than ordering separate parts though! Good old FIAT!(y)

one more post did you try the Diesel car and how was it like to drive
I wonder if the heaver engine had an impact on the steering

I didn't notice any difference in the steering but it wasn't as fun to drive as the twinair. I just felt it wasn't as chuckable and a bit slow of the mark. It could either be down to the engine or gearbox as the diesel is 5 speed compaired to 6 speed on the twinair.
They were close thought and I feel you would have to have a couple of days with each to decide which suits you best. The main factor for me was fuel cost. Where I live diesel approx 7p a L more so with the extra cost of the Diesel engine and fuel it dosen' t make sence. Time will tell though it the gamble we all take. ;)

Hello all,

I'm new here, having 'lurked' for some time :D

I ordered my Panda Trekking Twinair way back in late January, and am
the other person who's gone for the 4-seat split/slide option! Even my
amiable dealer (at Hartwells, Abingdon) is ashamed at how long I'm
being kept waiting (I've asked for the 4-seat Flex Pack if this'll speed
up delivery... at the time of ordering, all the options were separate)

Mine's to be Cancan Red, the only other options I've specified are
Height Adjustable Driver's Seat and Leather Steering Wheel/Gear Knob.

I didn't press for a discount as they gave me a decent trade-in offer
for my Alfa Mito 1.3JTDM-2. I'm only swapping from the latter because
my elderly parents can no longer cope with a 3-door car :(

Having really enjoyed a test-drive in a Panda 4x4 Twinair, I just hope
not to have to wait too much longer

Thanks to all you guys for the useful info. thus far!

Chris
