Hi every body, Mr newbie here , just dropped by to say hi. A great site Just bought a 2002 1.2 stilo, which is electrically challenged !! so expect to be on here a lot, looking for help and advice.

Hi it,s me again what is the best/ cheapest ecu/ code reader to reset the service indicator, seen several on ebay, but unshure which one is the best. currently trying to change/ remove the knackerd front window winder, you have to drop the glass to halfway to undo the plastic securing clips, but my glass is stuck all the way up, thinking about drilling out the winder rivets, and removing the steel panel:idea: Also a bit stuck on undoing the electrical connector in the door apature, do you pull it or have to twist it? You will need to get an ELM327 interface, a laptop and get yourself a registered version of fiatecuscan. The interface an FES are available in a bundle on Gendan.com.

Are you talking about the connector that goes from the door into the interior if the car? I think you press it at opposite ends and pull the clip outwards then the plug can be pulled free.

Welcome to the forum, I have the 1.2 also. Spec'd it up a bit since I bought it and I absolutely love it!

Lift the grey part (arrowed yellow) and the connector will come off.

Davren . I know this is only a one liner but could you put it as a guide?

Thanks for the help, its easy when you have done it before, window regulator in and working the only thing i gave up on was trying to attatch the locking rod that pokes out of the top of the door panel, could see where it needed to go on the lock, but no room to wiggle it in with big hands. Also the window drivers sise goes up and down, one touch everything, so i tries the open windows trick with the key, passanger window opened about half way, the drivers side all the way to the bottom and beyond !! then would not com back up useing the window switch, but did thank god useing the key, i guess it needs resetting somehow. Now off to whip o/s/f shock off and take to local garage to have broken spring replaced. Despite its teething problems, i am impressed with the Stilo

Hi again, a daft question, i bought the fiat ecuscan, the one with the 4 way switch on it, but where abouts do you plug it into the car? i have not really had a look, all i want to do initially is reset the service light. Thanks Alan

In fuse area by driver right and down of steering wheel located above fuse board you need register version of multi scan now to reset service indicator early version was iable n free version
