500 Fiat 500 Door handle broken

Hi,
This is for Kez 1000 fire ! I have a 2008 fiat 500 lounge with a broken exterior drivers side door handle !!! I thought I was the only one to have had any problems !!!!! so glad to hear someone else is having the same trouble !!.....also have a broken boot sensor, my jets have stopped on the rear windscreen wipers and it failed two MOT's !!! I wander if I've had a FRIDAY AFTERNOON CAR ? Love to hear back ! ......p.s. I still love my car !!

Sorry to hear of your troubles - all of the things you mention are known weak spots on the 500.

Out of interest, what were the two MOT failures for?

I have just had the same experience, my driver's door handle has just broken at the front leading end.

My door handle came off in my hand! my warranty ran out a fortnight beforehand. i tried glueing it . Im tiny and I know I dont have the strength to have broken it. Would appreciate useful advice.

Andy - apologies for the thread resurrection but could you help me to find this please? I've searched and browsed and I can't.

I've found a PDF kindly created by a forum member that describes the repair to the hinge at the front of the handle, but hardly any references to the repair when the handle has snapped off at both ends.

Edit: further apologies. I've found the guide now, but still can't see how to replace the entire handle.

Hi,
use SEARCH in "advanced" ;
put door handle as search - top left,
and chose 500 section - in Bottom Right

should all appear,
BUT..TBH if it's broken completely..you may be better fitting a new handle
