The 16v has 20 more bhp, a big difference when driving, we have a yellow 16v which will be for sale soon.

Re: Hello, again

the 16v has 80bhp stock
Compared to the 8v with 60bhp

The 8v tho is a safe engine, IE if the belt snaps, the pistons DONT meet the valves

if a 16v does - Oh boy the engine will make lots of sexy sexy noises for you - followed by you saying a few choice words....

The 16v is more flat on the bottom end, but more revvy
As they happily go upto 7k

The 8v is a little more torquey at the bottom rev's, but flatter top end clicking out about 6k / 6.5k depending on engine conditions etc

Re: Hello, again

i ran a proper nice 16 valver earlier this year but didnt like it
why?
well it was all or nothing in the power take off so you either nearly stalled it at right hand junctions or did wheelspins
was powerful but im used to proper powerful cars
why did i get rid?
wasnt happy with fuel consumption
i got rid of my gas guzzler and road tax eater to save some money not to replace it with something i didnt like
ive since gone back to a 1.2 8 valve sporting ideal for what i use my daily user for because i have other vehicles for other uses
its a bit numb but suits me
