Posts: 16 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 | Hello, again Already a member for a couple years but just managed to get my self another Fiat. 1.2 8v mk2 ![]() I have a works car which i hate so its good to have our own little pocket rocket. plan on keeping it for a year or so to get the insurance down then we want the yellow sporting 16v ![]() I am from Sunny Stoke on Trent

Posts: 8,115 Thanks: 323 Trader Rating: 0 | Re: Hello, again the 16v has 80bhp stock Compared to the 8v with 60bhp The 8v tho is a safe engine, IE if the belt snaps, the pistons DONT meet the valves if a 16v does - Oh boy the engine will make lots of sexy sexy noises for you - followed by you saying a few choice words.... The 16v is more flat on the bottom end, but more revvy As they happily go upto 7k The 8v is a little more torquey at the bottom rev's, but flatter top end clicking out about 6k / 6.5k depending on engine conditions etc Ziggy

Posts: 4,153 Thanks: 163 Trader Rating: 0 | Re: Hello, again i ran a proper nice 16 valver earlier this year but didnt like it why? well it was all or nothing in the power take off so you either nearly stalled it at right hand junctions or did wheelspins was powerful but im used to proper powerful cars why did i get rid? wasnt happy with fuel consumption i got rid of my gas guzzler and road tax eater to save some money not to replace it with something i didnt like ive since gone back to a 1.2 8 valve sporting ideal for what i use my daily user for because i have other vehicles for other uses its a bit numb but suits me
