Hi,
I test drove a '09 Doblo van this morning. I have a Nissan X Trail at the moment, but I need better fuel economy. Hence my interest in the Doblo. I must say I like it a lot. I think I'll buy it.

Hi Peter,
It varies between 33 and 38mpg depending on the type of driving. I have read that the 1.3 diesel Doblo averages 51mpg.
Gabriel.

The Doblo van I test drove is red. I cannot get the "Postman Pat" tune out of my head!! :ROFLMAO:

Hi Gabriel,

I know what you mean but to be honest I had a red A-Class once and everyone called that the Pat Mobile too. I don't get many more MPG out of my 1.9 (120) than you get from your X-Trail but I do a lot of motorway and dual carriageway driving which takes it's toll unless I stick to under 60. Good car though and ideal for my 3 labs - plenty of room in the back and not too high a step up.

Peter

Hi Gabe, I bought a 1300 about a month ago and its great and funnily enough its red also and yes I had trouble with the song as well to the extent that I just had to buy a stuffed B&W cat toy for the dashboard (only a very small one!!). How sad is that!!! LOL. Mine seems to average around 48mpg with variable usage.

Hi. Decided to hold off and wait for a 2010 new model Doblo to come along. Saw a white one last week, but it didn't have the sliding door at the side. I've been hearing good things about the new model.

Greetings from Ireland on Saint Patrick's Day. Many thanks to Fiat Forum for birthday greeting.
I have found a 2010 Doblo van 2010 (new model). The deal is done and I will collect it Tuesday. (y)

Hi All,
I am now the proud owner of a 2010 Doblo van. I am a bit nervous driving it, but I'll get used to it in a few days. The biggest difference is only having side mirrors with no view through the back as the cab is partitioned from the cargo area. It's still on it's first tank of diesel so I don't know what mpg I am getting. Early indications from the vans computer is around 54mpg. Not bad at all.

i fancy 1 of these to cart my wifes mobility scooter about the place my marea w/e jtd est is a tad too short lenght wise are these as reliable ?

I love the pre-05 models fitted with the 1.9jtd engines, i even debated getting rid of my BMW coupe at the time to get one.

Three weeks now and I have to say I like this van a lot. I am amazed how much power there is from the 1.3 diesel engine. I thought it would be sluggish, not a bit of it. I also like the computer. A lot of info about distance, range, time and mpg. Speaking of mpg, I am averaging 50. Not bad at all. The road holding is excellent. I like the big front windscreen too.
