hi there all ive just joined as my son has been given a 04 plate stilo 1.2 by his grandad on the condition we can get it running correctly ,hes not seventeen until january but the car has a running fault that i have to correct by then.the car has only 60000 miles on the clock and is in very good condition,my father in law (sons grandfather) bought it spur of the moment at a local auction,it idles fine and will rev with no problem stationary but when driven on the road has very poor performance.i am a master technician for Peugeot for the last 27 years! but i have had no dealings with these fiats is there any common problems with these models ? do they have a air flow meter? i have yet to see the car so i cant include any more details yet.hope someone can help

Hi. Welcome to the FF.

There's no common issues with the 1.2 engine.

Probably better to actually get the car first and check out the basic things. Plugs, coils, injector switching etc. As a Pug tech for 27 years, you'll know there's a wealth of information to be had from just looking at the plug tips.
