hi,
I am an auto locksmith, i have decided to make this forum to see if i can help anyone. i am happy to try and answer any questions. but also have a cheaper way to programme keys to your fiats. and the best bit is i do not have to be with your vehicle.

On early fiat models 94/95 to 98/99 (before the change over/the old style fiat badge) it is possible for us to programme keys to your fiat.

To do this all we need is the immobilizer and a lock, preferably and easiest for you the boot lock. we can then cut and programme the keys to your immobilizer and send it back.

I am aware that it can be expensive, and this way is alot cheaper. if you have any questions i would be happy to answer them.

Where are you located and how would we know if you are able to make/program new keys if our car was around that era? For example, I have the old style badges on my car but the single key I have has the Code 2 symbol on which as far as I was aware was a 'dealer only' option for replacement/copy?

system 1
system 2 has just 2 blue keys no red and a number 2 written on the blues
According to my FIAT main dealer (Aberdeen, Arnold Clark), when presented with a blue key with "2" and a triangle piercing two circles ("system 2" according to you), then I get all of these replies :
You've got to have the red key.
The car will have to come in for a couple of weeks.
It can't be done, ever, under any circumstances.
Three different people on the desk at different times.

So, are they money-grubbing bodily orifices, retards in Fiat uniform, or liars? Or just really good advertisements for the other dealership in the building, Kia?

When I was smoking outside, Mr "It can't be done" had a smoke too ; I asked him if these key fiascos were destroying Fiat's repeat custom. "Oh yes, destroying it. Never see anyone coming back."

I certainly don't intend to have another Fiat, ever.

probably coded, very few N reg was uncoded, did you used to have a key symbol or code light come on for a few seconds when you had a key? if so its coded, but it will be a code 1 system so is simple trip to scrappy for new lock set ecu code box and keys. normally under 100 quid now days some times as cheap as 40
