New to this game so wanted to introduce myself and look forward to good forum chats !

I am eagerly awaiting delivery of my first Fiat and Fiat 500 1.2 Sport and cannot bear waiting any longer ! Should take delivery of the new 59 plate end Sept beg Oct. I will be trading in my old Fiesta on the scrappage scheme and researched all city type cars and the 500 came out top !

Love to chit chat with you any other 500 followers

Welcome! My poor old Fiesta is going in for scrappage too, is it only me who feels a little guilty on it?! Its been a cracking little car.
What colour & extras have you gone for? I looked at a few cars too... Micra (lacking excitement), Yaris (nothing special), Copen (was a tough decision), Fiesta (didn't think it was worth the extra 2.5k)... ended up torn between the Copen and 500, I just loved the interior, its just such a happy car. Copen will be my 2nd car when this one is paid off (hopefully!)

I too feel awful guilty trading in my Fiesta she has been a gr8 car over the last 4 years!! I will really miss her.
Loving the Red colour but I was told that whatever colour you had on the outside matched the inside dash - have since been told this is not true? I have opted for the light grey but I have been told it has changed slightly from the internet site. My Fiesta is silver/grey so I thought I would stick with that colour! Trouble is I have not seen it in the flesh so to speak! Everytime I went to the dealer they couldn't show me the colour. Oh well its too late now lol !!

I wish I had opted now for the parking sensors (I need it lol). But the options were creeping up so I thought I have to stop! I have gone for the fixed glass sunroof, chrome door mirrors and chrome kit. Nothing too exciting but I believe I can have other extras added at a later time?

Hopefully 1st September theres been at lot of confusion regarding upgrades that have been rumoured to happen soon so was looking at a re-order but will see what happens (see Xenon headlight thread on the main forum). Will be nice to have it in 4 weeks though.
Yeah the cost does seem to creep up. Is it breakbeat grey or electroclash? Have a few pictures of electroclash that I hunted down (as it was something I was looking at) so can post them if you want?
Yep the outside does match the interior dash (apart from the 'by Diesel' range) thats why I fancied the red most in the end to bring a bit of colour in when its a dull day.

When did you order? You usually have 2 weeks to change things if you wanted to try and add the reverse parking sensors...

Its Breakbeat Grey which is the lighter of the two - more silvery grey I believe. I have read some further posts regarding the colour as its not a popular choice but from what I have read I'm not too concerned now!!
I ordered mine about 4 weeks ago so have still along way to go now - your on countdown mode now I bet ?
In some respects I wish I had gone for a bright colour now - red is a cool colour and I have seen the trim inside and its funky!
Thanks for the offer of the pics - I have actually seen the Electroclash Grey up close and thats a good colour too. I saw a Ye Ye Green one the other day and liked that too although I believe that is not available now?
I must contact the dealer to see if I can have a choice on the numberplate - my work colleague suggested I ask?

this is the same colour as what you've ordered. Its nice, quite rare too.

Yeah although it doesn't feel like its going to be here soon, lol, been waiting so long doesn't feel like its going to happen at all. Yeah YeYe is gorgeous, I'm gutted they don't do it any more, I really wanted Punk Grey but waited too long to order!

Some will give you a limited choice but some won't, usually about a week or 2 before it arrives. Won't do any harm to ask. You can get a more personal one off the dvla website for £250ish if you wanted something a bit more unique.

Hi, Does anyone know where the OBDII socket is on the 500 (1.2).

I am looking to connect the REV iphone application: (devtoaster website)

to my 500, has anyone done this? and would this product work with the 500? (plxkiwi website)

We too are new to this forum.
Ordered my Fiat 500 yesterday. I have gone for New Orleans Blue as I havent seen one around on the road and thought it would make it more unusual. I hope the dash board is Blue too.
I've got ages to wait though, up to 14 weeks dleivery times.
My Lounge is fairly standard as the extras all add so much.I have added the front fogs and a leather gearknob in ivory to match the blue and ivory checkered cloth with ivory ambiance.

New Orleans Blue is a cracking colour - I haven't seen one on the road in that colour - and the matching dash is great - so excited about getting delivery end of Sept and as the year is going so fast it will be no time at all getting your car!
The extras do add up don't they? I wanted the rear spoiler on mine so went for the Sport and its not an option on Lounge or Pop. Saw the lounge in the showroom and loved the glass sunroof so added that as an extra !
I'm sure it will be worth the wait lol !

Lol it is an option, just not on the configurator - have a look at the accessories brochure you can download (or don't, because you'll spend a fortune!) - but your sport with glass roof will still be lovely (and probably more unique).
