punto 1100 head swap

hi all,before we start i am a fully trained diesel mechanic(HGV)but i bought a PUNTO mk1 for my wife to lean to drive in,HOWEVER it ate its cam,so i have been given a MK2 multi injection point head to put on it,as we all know the mark 1 had a CARB head,there are suttle changes to the heads,i have the engineering skills and tools to convert the injection head i just wondered if any other fiat fanatics had done this before,thanks for reading.....SCOTT

the mk1 is spi not carbs. people do this the other way around normally converting spi to mpi, with an alloy plate made up using the inlet gaskets off both heads as a pattern

With the price of 8v SPi Punto heads being bugger all I wouldn't bother messing around with the MPi head. Go to a breakers, get an SPi head and save yourself from a load of hassle.
