No you're not, you just want what you've paid for and nobody should accept anything less. Refuse it I say.

DO NOT ACCEPT IT - not until they have sorted it out, mention that you have seen it and are worried about the 'brown' patch and tell them this must be sorted by the time it is delivered, if you do have before make them supply you 'in writing' that they will sort this out for you and that it will not affect the paint warranty.

The dealer 'should' show you around the car and ask you to give it the once over to 'make sure' you're happy with it.

If it was me (and my money) I wouldn't accept it until it was rectified to my total satisfaction.

hats not being awkward - you just ant what you're paying or.

Good luck and don't be pressurized!

It hasn't been delivered to you yet, so tell them now and tell them you want this sorting before delivery to you on friday. Do not accept the goods until you are happy with them

Re: Dodgy paint work on brand new t-jet HELP

Is this patch of brown behind the petrol cap (I assume you mean inside the boot?) not just some anti-rust wax? A picture would be helpful, and also don't forget that you have the right to refuse a car upon delivery if you feel it is not of merchantable quality. It gets harder to reject a car once you've taken delivery, so when you go to pick it up give it a very, very good look over.

Good luck!
